Technical Purchasing Specialist (VA/VE Team Leader)

Position Summary: Responsible to deliver VA and VE savings determined by the organization by deploying the global resources in the most efficient way. Understand Business acumen and Technical drawings, designs and be able to provide updates to Portfolio and Business Leadership, as well as be able to translate the requests to the team to complete them in a timely manner with quality results. Use all the processes, train his team members, and act quickly to environment changes as required by the business. Align with Purchasing functions with counterpart in Program Purchasing. Position Responsibilities: Constantly identify VAVE opportunities that may result in cost reduction or increased value to the customer. Annually prepare the VAVE savings budget that will be included in the Financial Operating Plan Prepare and obtain the CQA/Business Case and CEA sign-off by senior management for the projects to be implemented. Manage the validation and implementation of the necessary design and process changes related to VAVE cost reductions. Project Manage all activities and functions, including Product Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, AME and Plant Operations that are necessary to deliver the planned VAVE savings. Work with Global VAVE functions to share and implement common improvement goals. As appropriate hand off the day-to-day project implementation to Plant/Program Management after the required criteria are met. Report the monthly status of the savings Forecast against Operating Plan and the necessary actions to be taken if shortfalls are evident. Train, mentor and lead VAVE Engineers. Understand and comply with TS 16949 and ISO 14000 requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience working in related automotive industries preferably in Design, VAVE, and Program Management. Ability to read & interpret engineering test results and customer / internal requirements Good understanding of Business acumen, profitability measures, Cost break down, revenue Ability to read & interpret PPAP, APQP and Quality documents and to run statistical & commercial analysis Good verbal and written communication skills. English language competency - both written and oral. Preferred Skills and experience: German Language skills Master in Business Administration (Lean) Production Systems Knowledge Computer Aided Design (CAD) application experience. Req ID: req2012

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
