Supply Chain Specialist I - Freight (Supplier Logistics)

Position Summary:
The position will focus on analysis of
freight programs, follow up measures, and completing reports and metrics
+ Perform regular
analysis using Microsoft? Access and Excel in order to support current
freight programs and corporate initiatives.
+ Assesses and
recommends carriers for the ZF logistical support network.
+ Manage day-to-day
relationship between ZF carriers, distribution, and vendor partners.
+ Develop and
maintain ZF freight databases; research and compile transportation data
and statistics.
+ Review and create
business rules for freight audit and payment in adherence with company
policy and standards.
+ Work with the
corporate logistics group to ensure that ZF designated carriers are in
compliance with ZF requirements and federal and state regulations.
+ Provide
transportation expertise and guidance to resolve freight issues.
+ Coordinate
expedite freight options to ensure material is delivered in a timely
+ Assist in the
coordination and implementation of new logistics processes and providers
to support the corporate logistics group with freight projects.
+ Initiate and
follow-up with supplier corrective action requests.
+ Prepare charts, graphs, and summarize data for the internal and
external customers.
+ Participate in
continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
+ Maintain
professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal
training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding
professional networks, and participating in professional societies
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
+ Bachelor?s Degree
in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
+ 1+ years of
experience with analyzing and interpreting transportation/distribution
data and related processes
+ Working knowledge
of corporate logistics procedures/processes
+ Proficient with
Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
+ Strong analytical
abilities and attention to detail
+ Ability to work
independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
+ Ability to
interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and
+ Solid
organization and time/project management skills
+ Good verbal and
written communication skills
Skills and experience:
+ Experience in logistics in the automotive industry
+ Experience in SAP (module
+ Being assertive and self-motivated
+ Knowledge of ISO-9000, TS 16949 and ISO-14000
standards and requirements

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
